Our Journey

2023

The Beginning

In 2023, we launched the first-ever Accounted Summer Internship in London, welcoming a pioneering cohort of 10 talented students. The programme introduced core training in bookkeeping, Xero, and business fundamentals, while providing early exposure to professional development and networking opportunities that set the tone for what was to come.
2024

Growth and Expansion

The following year marked a major milestone as we expanded the internship to 30 participants across London and Birmingham. This growth reflected the programme’s increasing reputation and impact. We delivered advanced workshops on advisory, client communication, and presentation skills, and hosted guest sessions led by industry professionals and representatives from leading accounting bodies.
2025

Recognition and Impact

By 2025, the Accounted Summer Internship had grown to 40 participants across both cities and received official recognition and support, including attendance from the Mayor of Birmingham. The programme focused on leadership development, professional excellence, and real-world engagement - further reinforcing our mission to equip and empower the next generation of finance professionals.
